This bug was driving me nuts when i wanted to play killing floor with my friends so today i show you how to get around it.

Whenever i play with friends keep in mind we all live in america the game puts us in servers where we all have 200 ping.
If someone of your group has problems with connecting to the game you may configurate your router.
If your friend is playing on a dedicated server all you need to do is click the view game info menu item on your friends list and copy the ip for the server.
I was playing with a friend from epic that i had invited.
The game is great and all but the matchmaking system in this game is probably some of the worst i ve ever seen keep in mind i played world of tanks.
Killing floor 2 is a frequently updated game with the most recent patch perilous plunder having been released in june with new weapons cosmetics and more.

Listen and dedicated servers both work.
I just invite my friends to a party and join an empty server you can also make a party and use matchmaking to put you in a server with specified conditions like friends only but as of right now the only way to host your own server is hosting a dedicated one not sure if listen servers will be a thing in the future or not but until then i just find servers that have good ping difficulty.
And while cross play between steam and epic games can be fun you won t be able to cross.
Dedicated has a twist though you have to create the dedicated then open the task manager and kill the steam exe process while the dedicated is still running and re open steam.
Hello i and my friends just bought killing floor and we want to play together and we both don t know how.
We got to level 8 10 in a match before the server disconnected us.
Also make sure the killing floor ports are opened they are as follows.
Your friend s game should now load for you.
Make sure you re both added friends on epic games too btw.
Then in the killing floor game click multiplayer internet games tab right click on background open ip then paste the ip address your friend is on.
Now on the group menu you should have an option to add friends from different platforms if they re online on epic games they should show up.

After matchmaking click on a private match where it says join in game progress.
You can add your friends to the game using the in game menu.
