If your lg front loader has an oe error and won t drain check this before ordering a new pump it may be a free 5 minute fix. Release the rubber door boot from the lip around the opening to the washer tub on the front panel. Use the outer spring pliers to expand the spring clamp and remove it from the door boot. Open and remove the acces panel by pulling the tab downward and out revealing the drain hose and drain pump filter.

Remove the plastic pump housing. After all the remaining water is drained from the drain hose place a hand towel beneath the drain filter on the right side. Remove the mounting screw from bottom of the front panel. Open the washer door.

Make sure the unit is empty turned off and drained of any visible water in the tub. Remove the drain filter. Locate the access panel in the lower front of your front load washer. Next grab a shallow pan and have it ready by placing it near the access panel to collect the water.

Lg recommends cleaning out the drain pump filter of any lost items and lint buildup on a monthly basis. Twist the pump filter counter clockwise to remove it from the washer.
